What is prophylaxis

This is a preventive maintenance check of the equipment, usually a complete cleaning, adjustment and inspection of the printer. Regular maintenance will extend the life of the printer.

How often to perform prophylaxis

Our recommendation is once a year, it also depends on the environment the printer is in and how many labels it prints.

If you regularly have your printer adjusted and cleaned every year, you will extend the life of the individual parts, especially the print head, the most expensive part of the printer.

How long does prophylaxis last

For TSC industrial printers, a complete prophylaxis with final testing takes approximately 3 hours. Prophylaxis is also possible at the customer's premises, but we recommend that you do it at our TSC service centre - due to possible spare parts replacements.
