Follow the procedure below to perform a factory reset and firmware reload.

To preserve settings and data, perform a data backup before the update process.

The latest firmware version for the Opticon EBS-50 can be found at:

https://opticon.com/product/ebs-50/

Under the name: EBS-50 flash tool

1. Extract the contents of the downloaded zip file to disk.
2. Turn off the EBS-50 (disconnect the cable from the power supply).
3. Connect the EBS-50 with a micro-USB cable to your PC.
4. Open the Command Prompt (CMD)
5. Navigate to the flash directory ("cd C:/Users/%USERNAME%/Downloads/ebs-50-IBGV0102/").
6. Type the command "uuu.exe ebs-50.uuu" and confirm Enter.
7. Press and hold the small button on the EBS-50.
8. At the same time, while holding the button, connect power (power supply or PoE ethernet).
9. You can release the button once the update has started on the command line.

The update takes a few minutes and the device will reboot several times.
