RFID inventory in an office supply company
For the implementation we used RFID self-adhesive labels Silverline II Blade from Zebra Technologies, which are suitable for sticking on metal.
The self-adhesive label was visually modified to serve as an inventory label, at the same time the registration number was written into the UHF RFID chip of the self-adhesive label into the EPC memory of the tag.
Printing of the labels and writing to the EPC tag memory was done by a Zebra ZT411 RFID printer.
In this way, the customer is not limited to using RFID technology when using electronic wireless record keeping for a specific group of assets.
Asset inventory can be handled very quickly with RFID technology, assets can be identified either by barcode using old readers or much more efficiently and quickly using a modern RFID wireless reader.
Our company provides not only printing of RFID tags, but also custom application development for reading devices.
For the customer, we have developed an asset inventory application on the Android device CipherLab RK25 supplemented with an RFID attachment.
