Improving the performance of a TSC industrial printer in the dusty environment of Metal Trade Comax
Nowadays, keeping equipment in optimal condition is crucial for continuous production in the industrial sector. We recently carried out a service call for a TSC ME240 printer at a company specialising in metal fabrication. The request was specific: replacement of the front cover with LCD, replenishment of the front panel and inspection of the printer including prophylaxis.
The printer, located in a dusty metal fabrication environment, required a thorough intervention. The front cover with LCD and the pressure cut cylinder were replaced with new ones, which improved the functionality of the printer. At the same time, we added a front panel to match the customer's needs.
To ensure long-term trouble-free operation, we prophylaxis the entire printer. This included adjusting the print head pressure and repairing the front mandrel for the ttr ribbon, which helped to optimise the printing process.
Once the service work was completed, we carried out a thorough testing of the printer. We are pleased to report that the
TSC ME240 printer passed the test with flying colours, having already covered a respectable 40km and yetno faulty print points were recorded. We then showed the results to the customer and recommended a setting to change the print head temperature to achieve optimum results.
