Complete equipment for Poton wholesale

The demand for complete wholesale equipment doesn't come along every day, which is why Poton was delighted when, after an initial phase of recognitionthe first stage of the process of finding out about our capabilities, they decided to ask us to prepare a specific offer and then to implement it. The main deciding factor was the delivery of a complete turnkey solution. The only activity we required from Poton up front was the distribution of internet via cable and the coverage of the warehouse with wifi.

Wholesaling is not just about the equipment that you can physically see, but also the software, the heart of everything you run a wholesaler on. We have a good experience with ABF3 software and that's why we invited them as partners in the project. First, in meetings, we found out the customer's needs, their idea of how a wholesale store should work and then we proposed a solution.

We used Birch's All-in-One CZAR computers including customer displays, POS-523 cash drawers, PRP-T3 receipt printers and Honeywell Voyager 1202g wireless code readers at the point of sale. In addition, we assisted the customer with the overall assembly of the sales counters, where, for example, the atypical mounting of the monitors for the salespeople proved problematic, but we overcame this as well.

We also supplied the hardware for the offices. Both individual computers for the work of stacking and a server for the smooth running of the ABF3 software and its sub-modules. We also supplied the pricing rails as well as the plastic customer cards.

Poton preferred the option of selling directly on the premises of the wholesaler with the help of a terminal for large customers, where the assistant can show the clientthe number of items in stock, the customer's price and, most importantly, directly create a stock dispatch, which is then picked by a colleague according to the created document during dispatch. The customer wished to use the terminals for inventory. We chose the terminals from Honeywell and the Dolphin 6510 type, for communication with ABF3 software and mainly for the required functionality then our warehouse solution Mobile Store.

The customer's requirements were quite clear, all the hardware from our side was in stock, so from the exact specificationto the final assembly and deployment of the system, a month passed. The wholesale business survived the stress test before Christmas and now we are just waiting for the terminals or materials for the next counter to be ordered as the wholesale business grows. Fingers crossed.
