Mobile Asset - asset inventory
The MOBILE ASSET off-line application allows you to easily take an inventory of the assets recorded in the device's memory. In addition to barcodes and 2D codes, RFID can be used to speed up the data collection process. The display clearly shows what has already been found in the selected room and what is still missing. Collected items can be projected into an Excel or TXT file for further processing by asset accounting systems.
The MOBILE ASSET app allows you to collect data for asset inventory using portable offline Android terminals.
Once you upload the asset inventory from your system to the terminals, it can be manually or barcode/2D coded on the terminals.code to select the building and room you are currently in, which will display the list of assets registered at that location.
Then just scan the codes from each piece of property. The tracked assets are highlighted in green to show what has already been found in the room. The terminal will also alert you to assets recorded elsewhere and an unknown code with the option to ignore it or create a new asset item.
For supported devices, RFID technology can also be used to speed up the inventory process. If the asset is tagged with RFID tags, the terminal will allow you to scan the asset list from up to several meters away without having to search for the tag. Of course, the possibility to use barcodes/2D codes at the same time is maintained.
The inventory of assets can be uploaded manually to the terminal or using a Windows application, which can then take care of downloading the scanned assets from the terminal to a PC and its initial processing (e.g. saving to a TXT file or XLSX file with the possibility of indicating the inventory status Shortage/OK/Transfer/...). This processed data can be provided to your system.
