Automation of equipment loans using UHF RFID

We were approached by a technology company that wanted to automate and facilitate the loan and return of equipment using UHF RFID. During operations, there were recurring incidents of them being missed or returned to another location and then having to be tracked down. The tracked meters were tagged with RFID tags and antennas were placed over the dispensing point to detect the rental and return of the devices. In this way, all movements of the equipment are tied to the logged-in employee. Loaning and returning equipment does not require any knowledge of the company system, everything is done automatically.
